The first Tasmanian PMG/Telecom/Telstra reunion was held at Tolosa Park,  Glenorchy on 27th January 2002.  Over the course of the day approximately 700 people attended and at the peak time, it was estimated that there were at least 300 people present.

History:

It was sometime in 1995 when Teena Hansson said to me, "Why don't we organise a reunion?"  I readily agreed but declared that I had no spare time in the  foreseeable future. After raising the matter on a number of occasions and receiving the same response, late in 2001 Teena declared, "There will never be any spare time, we just have to do it!"  Her sentiment was correct so a date was set, the organisational process started and the rest is history.

Acknowledgements:  First and foremost credit has to go to Teena for spawning the idea and being assertive enough to see it was executed.  Most of the organisational activity was also down to Teena.

Thanks to Bruce Free for distributing notices within Telstra establishments and to Nick Verschuul for the use of the digital camera. A big thanks to Royce Cusick for the design and coding of this website.

The main "Thank you"  however is reserved for the hundreds of people who helped spread the word and to those who offered to chip in to cover some of the expenses.  Next time we may solicit donations.

Most of all, thanks to the people who attended and made the day such a fantastic occasion.

Please spread the word about the next Reunion to be held at Tolosa Park on the the first Sunday in February 2010 (Sunday 7th Feb 2010) from about 11.00am onwards.  Be there!
